Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the ESE Executive Committee, of the Programme and Local
Organising Committees, it is our pleasure to invite you to actively participate
at the 9th European Congress of Endocrinology, which will take place in
Budapest, 28 April – 2 May, 2007.
Over the years the ECEs have become the premier event of Endocrinology in
Europe and are now held on a yearly basis. At ECEs, attendees from all over
Europe, as well from the rest of the world, gather to learn the latest advances
in endocrine research and clinical care presented by the thought leaders in the
field. The POC has actively worked to put together a programme of scientific
excellence which will be attractive to all professionals interested in endocrinology
and metabolism.
The 9th ECE will feature 10 plenary lectures (7 selected by the POC and 3
Award Lectures that include the Geoffrey Harris Prize Lecture, the EJE Prize
Lecture and the Young Investigator Award Lecture), 12 meet the expert
sessions, 25 clinical and basic symposia, 12 oral communication sessions
and 3 poster sessions. The scientific programme will cover the full range of
endocrinology from basic research to translational research to clinical practice.
Over 120 speakers chosen among the most distinguished international
experts have already confirmed their participation and will guarantee a high
level of science and lectures. Further attractiveness will come from Satellite
Symposia dedicated to the most intriguing hot topics in clinical endocrinology
and metabolism.
We expect that scientific contributions submitted for presentation will allow to
integrate the programme in order to have one of the most appealing ECE
meetings organised so far. Eighty abstracts will be selected for oral communications,
in order to provide the best opportunity for young researchers to
present their studies, contributing to the advances of knowledge in endocrinology
and metabolism.
The abstract submission deadline is 5 November, 2006. Please mark your calendar at this date and send your contribution to the 9th ECE. You will be rewarded by a unique opportunity to participate at an outstanding meeting which is all about intellectual interaction, collaboration and new ideas. One more good reason attracting attendants is the city of Budapest with its rich history and culture, the warm hospitality of the Hungarian people and the famous Hungarian cuisine.
Looking forward to receiving your scientific contributions and to meeting you in Budapest to make this a thoroughly successful event!
